FYI, the very first UK dictionary – actually ‘A liste of ye wordes hard to spelle’ – 2 pages long, was not quite in alphabetical order, with 2 missequencings, so you’re in traditional company :-)

Reminds me of a bar bet I heard about: Bet somebody you can say 100 words that do not contain the letter ‘a’ in one minute. When he takes the bet, simply recite the numbers from 1 to 100 — a pretty easy task in 60 seconds.
