  2. I keep trying to tell my wife (who comes from a tropical paradise) that the 12-inch dusting we had in Brooklyn is nothing beside the trench-war accumulation they put up with in the Great Lakes and elsewhere. Nicely illustrated (and impressive work; at least you will be brawnier for it).
