The FCC is fining CBS $550,000 for transmitting the image of Janet Jackson’s bosom during the SuperBlow, protecting Americans from, well, Janet Jackson’s bosom.

Meanwhile, the portion of the SuperBowl most re-watched by TiVo owners was the part where we saw Janet Jackson’s bosom.

  1. So, this basically means the end of live broadcast, right? Unless the broadcaster can guarantee that nothing “indecent” can pass through the camera-to-broadcast chain, which in turn means that nothing unacceptable may appear in an area that the camera might focus on.

    Maybe we’ll get lucky and this will cut down on the chest-painted shirtless overweight sports fans that the producers seem so fond of?
