Okay. So I understand that SIMS is a real business. Real money is being spent / earned. Real people invest real hours / days / … of their lives in the world.
However, it’s difficult for me to take all of this too seriously and makes me reach for the the expression “get a life.” My unfortunate reaction is probably due to a lack of sensitivity and / or a dearth of understanding of these virtual worlds. –Nah.
Sad but true . . . this has been going on for ages. I used to play Ultima Online, a MMRPG that is played by a ton of folks. Still to this day there is a thriving cash market for the items found in the game.
