J.D. Lasica explains everything you wanted to know about aggregators — the RSS newsfeed sort — at the Online Journalism Review. And JD’s written a “Making of…” blog entry that explains why he’s posted the full interviews he did when researching the article.

Is RSS really all that it’s cracked up to be or is it really just useful for ‘bloggin’ and such? I remember so many over hyped tech standards and protocols.. Wonder if this is just another. Anyhow, someone got famous/made some money off of inventing RSS I guess. ;)
